Why Is Dmg Not Recognized On Mac

I have QQ messenger (Just a messenger I use with my friends) on my Macbook Pro.
It had some kind of problem so I deleted it from my applications and dock into the trash.
I emptied the trash because I thought that If I deleted it I could just re-install Qq messenger and the problem would be gone.

I'm not sure what to do since I'm not good with this tech stuff.
I'm not really sure where to put this question either so I just put it here.

  • Jul 21, 2015.dmg not recognized So, I've downloaded the.dmg file 3 times with Safari, tried Firefox and still no luck. This is an older MacBook with a fresh Lion install. DiskImageMounter is the app that.dmg files are associated with, so that's not it. Any other ideas? UPDATE: Turns out that Microsoft had a known issue with the.dmg file that was on.
  • If so, just use one of the well known guides like the one from the sidebar. No, I don't, tried with Oracle VM but it can't seem to load the dmg file,neither the converted iso from it. I've heard that TransMac is a way to get a bootable USB, but I've never run across any specific success stories.
